2 - Using the tool TO COMMUNECT Nowadays, many people get the habit to be daily connected to a network with the aim of giving and getting news from their close relatives or from the world's situation. Communecter is a social network, however it stands out from the ones we used to use from 2008 by its open source code (which means you can contribute to the platform and know how it works). Moreover, the visible datas on the website are in opendata : you can copy and reuse them on other platforms. The interest of using Communecter can be seen in its  capacity to reference local initiatives located in an defined area, and the importance given to facilitate the dialogue between local stakeholders (associations, citizens, informal groups, local companies etc...) Some advices to start Create your account from the homepage Complete your profile by clicking on your handle on the top right  then on "About" on the left column. Follow people and organizations that you like Join the organizations that you are already part of, create the page if it doesn't exist yet on the network. You can also ask for being the administrator if you considered yourself as strongly involved. Ask for help Communecter pour les nuls (Communecter for beginners) is THE page that you should follow in order to ask questions and see others' ones. Tips and tutos are published in order to get you informed. It is admitted that every initiatives emerging in a given space come from individuals so there is no special account for organization that can be created. However, once connected, whoever citizen can create an organization, an event or a project. My project already exists on the network, how can I modify it ? By default option, every description is in open access. If it is the case of you project, you just need to be connected to access to its edition's settings. If the open access has been desactivated, only members can modify the informations. More informations + : Roles. I don't want anyone to be able to modify the informations of my project. How can I limit the access ? Join the event, the project or the organization as an administrator then click on sur Settings > Privacy settings. Why is Communcter hosted by Amazon ? It is one of our most important concern about the project. We have the firm intention to leave Amazon, but unfortunately this implies human and financial ressources that we can't currently assume. This societal network is helpful at every scale of your network : Different kind of tools associated to open gouvernance are available to be organized within a local group. Communecter makes exchanges more efficient between local groups. By spreading news in a federate way, members and supporters of your group will stay informed of what is happening within your network. Globally, your federation is poised as a stakeholder of the thematic in which you are engaged. Communecter helps any user who is looking for their local community, in order to get organized, to discuss and to share informations internally, while keeping an eye on what is happening somewhere else. The first category is considered as unconcerned and the second one as deconnected; this acception is not exactly fair. However, there is a strong dismay playing on the public stage.  This situation is likely to stagnate if we keep staring at it, conversely we can use available tools in order to inspire people to get implicated with their representatives for the future of their locality. It implies to modify certain operating modes of the public bodies. Numerical platforms for citizens can help to reconnect those two spheres, but also to deploy new solutions with the aim of improving the dialogue by synchronizing this latter with the present time and the time to come. Every collectivity can find a digital medium to fit with its objectives. Faute de moyens financiers et d’outils d’animation pour la faire vivre sincèrement, il s’agit souvent davantage de « marketing démocratique », ou de « technocratie de la participation », ne permettant pas d’avoir réellement prise sur le cours des choses. Les citoyens souhaitent désormais que chaque acteur puisse faire partie d'une concertation globale. La participation des habitants dans l'élaboration et la mise en place des projets de territoire sont des facteurs déterminants dans l'efficacité des politiques publiques. Boîte à outils : le numérique peut rassembler tout un panel de fonctionnalités pour tout décideur politique qui souhaite prendre en compte le tournant numérique. Les outils numériques permettent notamment de faire appel à l’intelligence collective comme source de solutions innovantes et donnent la possibilité à de nombreuses personnes de travailler ensemble. Les applications permettent une utilisation en déplacement et la géolocalisation, mais aussi des dispositifs qui facilitent l’interaction, la visualisation et la transparence. Usages : L’explosion du numérique dans notre vie quotidienne ouvre de grandes potentialités. Le développement du très haut débit, la montée en puissance de l’internet mobile, la généralisation de l’utilisation des objets connectés bouleverse les usages au sein des territoires. De nos jours de plus en plus de services (services en ligne, démarches administratives, budgets participatifs, ouverture des données publiques...) sont proposés sur des supports numériques ou au travers des objets connectés. La citoyenneté numérique permet d’améliorer la gestion locale, par l'information et la sensibilisation des habitants, la connaissance du contexte local, la mobilisation des forces vives locales, et l'adhésion des citoyens à l'action publique. La politique locale représente à bien des égards un formidable terreau d’innovation démocratique.
